In the harbour –
trees, bare, cold;
me, wool-layered, cold;
the sea, a cold mirror, shudders with the glitter of city lights and one boat’s last Christmas spangles.
Sue Mara works with photography, bookmaking and poetry/song-writing, often in combination. Bristol-based, she also spends long summers in Orkney. She is currently absorbed in making a set of six small hand-made books of poems and images from this year’s stay on North Ronaldsay, a tiny remote Orkney island
