Stuffed that dreams are made of

They review their trove and find
enough treasure to fly the grandkids
to visit Santa Claus in Lapland.
There and back in one magical day.

The family – sleep lost to excitement –
leave for Gatwick before sun is set to rise.

Ah, there’s a snag. A drone is aloft.
Or several drones. Or no drones, posit the police,
who may have been hoist by their own drones.

The children’s once-in-a-lifetime dissolves
to slush, and Zuzi, Matti and Aisha
return home, their fund of wonder depleted.
